ABOUT

Hi! I'm Kathryn.

I love stories.

Stories have power. They can heal, unite, and highlight. They can isolate, divide, and polarize. They can comment, persuade, and inform. I am here to use the power of story for good.

     To unite the divided.

To build up the beat down.

     To showcase the unseen.

Good thing filmmaking is collaborative.

Let's do this together.

Let's leave the world a better place than we found it.

BIO

I am an Atlanta-based director & producer with experience in narrative and documentary films and series. In 2022, I proudly started Jamieson Productions, LLC.

I began as a production assistant in 2012 and developed an interest in producing shortly after. My first short, BUMBLEBEES, won several “Best Short Film” awards and ended its circuit at the Cannes market in 2018. Since, I've continued producing and discovered a passion for directing which led me to the Savannah College of Art and Design where I graduated with my BFA summa cum laude. I love bringing under-represented & deeply human stories to the screen in an honest, gripping way, as seen in my work on SURVIVING CLOTILDA. During my studies, I researched, developed & implemented practices to cultivate a sustainable working environment for all. Next is dance short film IMAGE exploring the impact of social media on mental health, hitting the festival circuit late 2024.

While completing my education, I worked as a local casting associate under Emmy award winning casting director Mark Fincannon, CSA, on FOX's THE RESIDENT, ABC’s THE WONDER YEARS, and more. Currently, I'm assisting with NY/LA casting under Hopkins Ingram Casting on Season 3 of P-VALLEY on STARZ.
